Hi, I’m Gavin.
Born in England 1983, trained in theatre in London and a traveller at heart (Canada as one of my favs). Life’s taken me from diving deep under the sea to hiking high in the Pyrenees, with a guitar, crochet hooks and a saracastic sense of humour.
Teaching English for me
isn’t about textbooks and drills—it’s about real conversations, laughter, and helping people feel confident enough to use their English in everyday life.
Whether we’re chatting over coffee, working on exam prep at your place, or connecting online, my goal is to make learning feel natural, fun and totally tailored to you.
When I’m not teaching English, you’ll probably find me:
– Strumming Radiohead or Coldplay songs on the guitar
– Playing any racket sport I can get my hands on
– Surfing (but only if the water’s warm!)
– Crocheting hats that sometimes actually fit
– Eating burnt toast with butter and baked beans (the perfect breakfast)

A FEW QUIRKS
I can’t stand cheese (don’t even try) and my favourite pintxo in Vitoria is tuna mayonnaise with a spicy pepper on top.
I also don’t eat much fish these days—probably because I used to dive and made too many friends underwater.
I’m a big fan of classic 80s films (give me Back to the Future any day), and yes, I’m slowly accepting the fact that my hair is making an exit while my glasses become more
permanent.
